In one well-publicized securities fraud case, the firm successfully defended an underwriter’s counsel accused of misrepresentation. Claims against the client totaled $15 million and the trial ran more than three months. The claim of securities fraud was ultimately dismissed by the federal appellate court and affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
